The following information represents a general guideline for minimum hardware requirements. They should be adequate for most Bizweaver installations. However, it may be necessary to increase CPU and RAM in larger installations.

  • x64 processor (1.4 GHz or faster) OR x86 (processor: 1.0 GHz or faster)
• RAM
  • 8 GB or greater
• Disk
  • The Bizweaver installation package requires ≈25 MB of disk space
  • The installed Bizweaver application footprint is ≈80 MB of disk space
  • Bizweaver also uses C:\ProgramData for log files and other file generation activities. At least 50 MB of disk space should be allowed for these activities.

Bizweaver stores configuration data in a Microsoft SQL Server database. No other databases are supported at this time. The database can be created in an existing SQL Server instance or a new instance can be created.

  • Bizweaver can be used on SQL Server 2008 R2 but the preference is to use a newer version
• Microsoft SQL Server Express
  • 2012 or higher

• SAP Crystal Reports runtime for .Net Framework (64-bit). Note that this must be the 64-bit version. The 32-bit version that may already be in place will not work correctly. Both versions can be installed at the same time. The installation package for this application is available in the Software Download section of the Third Wave support portal. If your are also using Versago, the CR runtime is installed automatically.
• Microsoft Access Database Engine runtime. This is used only if you need read data directly from Microsoft Excel files. The installation package for this application is available in the Software Download section of the Third Wave support portal.

• The SQL Server Native Client should be installed on the machine where Bizweaver is installed. This application is automatically installed if SQL Server is installed on the machine. The installation package can be downloaded from Microsoft if it is needed.

• SAP HANA Client should be installed on the machine where Bizweaver is installed. This application is automatically installed if SAP Business One for HANA is installed on the machine. An installation package is available from Third Wave Business Systems if it is not already installed.

Bizweaver has a web service component that can be used to initiate workflows either from other applications such as Versago, or internally to allow one workflow to call another. To use this functionality, confirm that IIS is installed, configured, and running on the server(s) hosting Versago and/or Bizweaver. Review the configuration requirements » here.

If Bizweaver will be installed on the same server as Versago, Versago should be installed first. This will allow Bizweaver to automatically set up its web service connection.

In a SQL Server environment, Bizweaver can connect to SAP Business One using either DI Server or DI API.

This DI Server application is purchased separately from the core SAP Business One package. Please review the explanation of how the DI Server application works to ensure that sufficient licenses are available. This is only an issue if other applications that use DI Server are also in use.

The DI API application is part of the core SAP Business One application set, so no additional purchases are required.

Although not required, it is also highly recommended that an exclusive SAP Business One “Indirect User” license be used for the SAP Business One DI connections. Contact your Third Wave salesperson or consultant regarding the purchase and setup of this user.

The Bizweaver license is generated automatically. There are two requirements for the license process.

• Your SAP Installation ID must be on file in the Third Wave Business Systems license system.
• An active Internet connection to allow communication with the Third Wave license server. The connection must allow access to https://license.twbs.com:444.
