Moving from Test to Production

The Import/Export process also provides a mechanism to migrate workflows from testing to production in the same environment. Using this process means that you will not need to go into each workflow and change the connections. It also leaves your test workflows in place for later use, if needed. The basic steps are noted below.

  • Review the Import/Export process page.
    • Be sure that the various connections for the production environment are defined.
  • Move any workflows in the “Bizweaver Tasks” folder to another folder. This is not mandatory. However, when the workflows are imported back into Bizweaver they will be placed in this folder. If the folder is empty when starting it is easier to manage the import process.
  • Export the workflow(s) with the testing connections using the process described.
  • Import the same workflow(s) back into the same environment.
    • This will give you the opportunity to change the connections needed for production operations.
  • Move the production workflows to the desired folder(s) as appropriate.

Notes

  • Depending on your license you may need to disable the test workflows so that the corresponding production ones can be enabled.
  • Any schedules associated with the exported workflows are duplicated during the import process. Review the schedule before enabling the imported workflow.
