Renaming A Bizweaver Databases

This process is most commonly done when you are switching a “Test” Database and connections to a “Live” or production database.

For changing a Bizweaver database name the process is as follows.

• Backup the database that you want to rename for use with Bizweaver.
• Restore the database on the proper server. Rename the database as you restore it with the desired name.
• Export all Bizweaver workflows that are to be transferred.
  • This will make it easier if you want to rename Global Connections described later on this page.
  • The process of exporting workflows can be found here.
• Reinstall Bizweaver, during the configuration connect it to the new database.
  • Note that the connection information will still be present within Bizweaver so validate all the information before continuing.

If you wish to also rename Global Connections in Bizweaver they will have to be done individually by creating new connections.

Changing connections in each workflow is simple. This can be done quickly by importing the workflows that were exported earlier, the connections can be changed during the process of importing them. The process of importing workflows can be found here.
