Form Actions

There are five standard buttons that are components of a standard form.

• Save and Close attempts to save the form information to the database.
  • If the “save” process is successful, a “success” message is displayed, the form page is closed, and the user is returned to the Versago home page.
• Save and New attempts to save the form information to the database.
  • If the “save” process is successful, a “success” message is displayed, the form page is cleared of information, any default values are applied, and the page remains open for entry of new information.
• Save attempts to save the form information to the database.
  • If the “save” process is successful a “success” message is displayed and the form page remains open for entry of additional information.
• Delete attempts to remove an existing record.
  • The target record must be retrieved before the delete option can be used. This can be done by linking to the form from a report or by using the Control Events functionality on primary key field of the form.
  • The user is asked to confirm the deletion.
  • If the “delete” process is successful a “success” message is displayed.
• Cancel clears any information currently displayed in the form and the form remains open for entry of new information.
  • The user is asked to confirm the cancellation if any information is found on the form.

Refresh form after submit The form data is refresh after the button is clicked.

Success Message This is the text of the message displayed to the user when a save or delete process is successful. It can be changed or suppressed if desired.

Fail/Error Message This is the text of the message displayed to the user when a error occurs during the save or delete process. It can be changed or suppressed if desired.

Map to Enter Key When this option is selected, pressing the <Enter> key on a keyboard will be interpreted as having clicked the button. This option is especially helpful when using barcode scanners that can automatically send a <CR><LF> sequence. It then allows for “keyboard free” data entry.

Versago allows to call a Bizweaver workflow after the main action of the form is successful.

Select the Bizweaver checkbox.

The Target string to invoke a Bizweaver workflow is shown below.

1. “YourURL” is the URL used by Versago.
2. “YourPort assigned to the Bizweaver web service when the application was installed.

Enter the Bizweaver workflow (task ID) to be invoked.

A row pair is created for each variable to be passed to Bizweaver.

• Select Static is the variable value is entered manually and is the same each time Bizweaver is invoked from this form
• Select the form field to be used “Form Field” from the drop-down list.
• Enter the name of the variable expected by Bizweaver. This value is case sensitive and must match the value defined in Bizweaver exactly.

Versago allows to call a URL after the main action of the form is successful.

Select the URL checkbox.

Enter the Target string with the desired address

• Select Static is the variable value is entered manually and is the same each time Bizweaver is invoked from this form
• Select the form field to be used “Form Field” from the drop-down list.
• Enter the name of the variable expected by the URL.
