The Bizweaver application is a set of tools used to automate data acquisition, data manipulation, file management activities, as-well-as providing data integration into SAP Business One. The various tools provided by Bizweaver are linked together as a set of sequential steps called a workflow.
The home screen consists of seven areas.
The Menu Bar provides access to various Bizweaver options and tools used to manage the application.
“Currently active” in the following discussions means that a workflow has been selected and is displayed in the design area.
New workflow: This opens the workflow design window to begin a new workflow.
Duplicate Workflow: This will duplicate the selected workflow.
Delete Workflow: This will delete the selected workflow.
Workflow Schedules: This will display all active and scheduled workflows and any associated information to the workflow and schedule.
Settings: This is the general configuration for Bizweaver.
Connections Manager: This is used to define connections to database engines (SQL Server & HANA), email services, REST web services, and SAP Business One integration tools (DI Server, DI API).
Export / Import: This is used to export and import Bizweaver workflows.
Register Assembly: Used only when specific tools need updating.
Restart SAP Business One DI Server service: This is only used when Bizweaver is used with SAP Business One.
Search: Allows you to search workflows by ID number or text string.
Filter: The filter button allows you to filter in the current folder on any selected options.
The Help Icon can be found in the top right of most Bizweaver windows or can be found in the main applications in the menu bar help then select Bizweaver help. The help icon will load this wiki and navigate to the relevant page that it was clicked on.
The Folder Pane provides the ability to create/store workflows in folders. These groupings are for organizational convenience only and do not affect the use of the application.
All Workflows: will display all workflows regardless of folder they are stored in. On importing and saving, a workflow will be stored in this folder by default.
There are two “panes”; the Folder pane (on the left) and the Workflow list pane (on the right). The Workflow pane presents the contents of the folder selected in the Folder pane. To add a new folder:
To delete a folder:
To Rename a folder
The Workflow List pane displays a list of workflows in the folder selected in the Folder pane.
As noted earlier, your license controls the number of active (enabled) tasks you may have. The right-hand number indicates the number of licensed workflows. The left-hand number indicates the number of workflows that are currently enabled.
It is strongly recommended that you spend some time reviewing your requirements, workflow solution design options and approach, and what Bizweaver tools you may need before constructing a workflow. Workflow construction tends to be easier and more efficient because of this pre-planning.
Details for building a workflow are found here.
There are three methods to execute a Bizweaver workflow: test/debug mode, “run now,” and scheduled. The results are the same for all methods. More information can be found here Executing a Workflow
