The procedure entry point for SymFromAddr could not be located in the dynamic link library dbghelp.dll

You get the above error message on Windows 2000 Server and Windows 2000 client when you connect open the SAP Service Manager or connect to SAP Add Ons that use the DI API

Version of dbghelp.dll in C:\WINNT\System32 folder is older than 5.1.2600.2180

Method 1: Upgrade the server to Windows 2003 or the client workstation to Windows XP

Method 2: These steps are known to have fixed this issue in the past. But since this is an Operating Systems issue, you might want to confirm with SAP any operating systems errors that could be caused due to this method

1) Do a search of all dbghelp.dll files on the server or client

2) Rename all of them to dbghelp.dll.old

3) Copy the dbghelp.dll from the system32 folder of a Windows XP workstation (dbghelp.dll in XP is of version 5.1.2600.2180)

4) Rename the dbghelp.dll.old(step 2) to dbghelp.dll except the one in C:\WINNT\System32(or C:\WINDOWS\System32)
