When installing the SAP client on a workstation, the setup terminates and the following error is thrown:
Error Number 0x80040707 Description: Dll function call Crashed :ISRT._RegQueryKeyValue
1) regedit 2) HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager 3) Backup Session Manager registry sub-directory 4) Delete PendingFileRenameOperations key entry 5) Re-run client install
