When I try to cancel an incoming payment I get this message.
“one of the credit vouchers was cashed”
Kal,
If this is a credit card payment, there is an option (Administration | System Initialization | BP tab) to process Credit Card vouchers automatically. This will, in essence, do what Mike indicated and automatically “deposit” the credit card payment based on a set number of days (I believe this part is configured in Admin | Setup | Banking | Credit Card Payments in 2005).
At another client, I was able to work around this issue by updating a table in SQL with the following script. This IS NOT an SAP recommended approach, just what was required to get the job done, therefore use it with caution J running it first in a test database and modifying it to restrict to the one payment you are looking to fix.
Update ocrh set paydate = dateadd(dd,30,Getdate()) where cardvalid > dateadd(m, -3, getdate())

Does anyone know what this means and how to get around it so that I can cancel the incoming payment. The incoming payment was wrongly recorded in a different period and the client wants to reverse it and show the invoices open in that period.
thanks,
