Issue
During installation of Add-on client the error “Feature Transfer Error“
Symptom
Error: -1605 This action is only valid for products that are currently installed.” occurs.
Cause
This is an InstallShield error produced by the installation program because the Update Server is enabled.
Resolution Notes
Copy folder InstallShield Installation Information from C:\Program Files (or Program Files (86) and paste it in the same folder. The name should look like InstallShield Installation Information - Copy. Delete the contents of the original folder. Install the Add-on Client either by opening SAP or from the Pending Add-on installation in the Add-on Manager. If prompted to close any open applications respond No. If prompted to re-start the computer respond No. After installation completes copy the contents of the copied InstallShield Installation Information into the original folder responding No to any requests to copy over or merge files.
