Symptom
User unable to select MSSQL_2005 as current server from choose Company window
Cause

Resolution Notes
new client installation for SAP 2007 on a Windows 7 client machine. The user could not set the database because they were not able to select the MSSQL_2005 option from the menu, only MSSQL was available. The problem was resolved by downloading the SQL Native client install from the Microsoft website and installing it on the client. Once the software was installed the option was available.
